It served me well for a good 5 years with a number of service centre visits, battery and hard disk replacements, formats and OS upgrades. Also, my laptop screen is broken, so for both the issue I had, and for this one, I have to rely on an old computer monitor. You’ll find it easier to get work done, enjoy less eye strain and of course, enjoy bigger, higher quality video.
To test the display, attach an external monitor and restart the computer. Try clicking Identify (It did not help me) 4. If the second monitor has a normal display, then your current one has failed. If your Mac is powering on but the screen stays black, try the keypress sequence: Press the power button (OFF) once My computer screen keeps turning off - signal cut. When it turns black, it doesnt show up again unless when u reset the windows but with that i lose all my data and files. The following worked perfectly for me: Unplug the power, take the battery out and hold down the power button for around 60seconds. This test is helpful if the display is black but you can hear that the computer is operating. Press the Windows key + Shift + Ctrl + B at the same time. My laptop computer turns on but the monitor screen stays blackĬheck if the monitor is on.
